ASM CME-accredited Satellite Symposia at ICAAC

ASM will provide CME-accreditation for five satellite symposia at the 47th ICAAC. The symposia will disseminate the most up-to-date information on emerging advances in the treatment of infectious diseases and in the microbiological sciences. ASM’s symposia presentations will be objective and balanced and provide a clear demarcation between product promotion and independent education. These symposia will be given priority in scheduling and they will be managed by ASM and Conexus Health.

Sponsorships for the 47th ICAAC: September 17-20, 2007, Chicago, IL

ICAAC (Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy) is the world’s premier meeting on infectious diseases and antimicrobial agents. Held annually in the fall, between 9,000 and 13,000 physicians and scientists from around the world gather to exchange information and foster global solutions to the problems of infectious diseases.

Meeting sponsorships provide ICAAC exhibitors with additional corporate or brand recognition and are a bonus to delegates at the meeting. To determine the availability of a sponsorship, principals may contact Sherri Sujai at ssujai@asmusa.org or 202-942-9252. Agents and third-parties, please refer to the specific meeting web page.

Sponsorship Criteria

 Meeting sponsors must be exhibitors;
 First priority is given to members of the Corporate Activities Program
 A Letter of Agreement (ASM’s or sponsor’s) is required; and
 Artwork and corporate and product logos must be submitted in approved digital file format which will be provided when the sponsorship is confirmed.

Abstracts on CD-ROM provide an easily searchable compilation of all abstracts in both PC and Macintosh formats. Meeting delegates receive a voucher in their delegate portfolios to exchange at the sponsor’s booth for an Abstracts on CD-ROM.

These popular 4”x 5” pocketsize maps pop open to reveal detailed maps of the city. A limited number of stainless steel travel mugs are available to delegates daily in the ASM attendee lounge, located in the exhibit hall. These collectible mugs have an outer wall, color plastic liner, double wall insulation, no-slip bottom, and a slide lock lid to prevent spills. They are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and are very popular with delegates.

E-Central is ASM’s communication center for each of ASM’s meetings. The E-Central stations are the only locations where meeting participants can leave and retrieve messages, locate sessions by time and topic, build a conference itinerary, view and print out a list of exhibitors and/or products, locate colleagues at official hotels, send and receive e-mail, and verify and generate a continuing education certificate for physicians and other registrants who require recertification.

Each attendee receives an Expocard containing their name, address, and demographic information electronically encoded. The Expocard serves as an electronic business card allowing delegates to request information at booths in the exhibit hall, and permits delegates to access the program planner, product locator, attendee locator, and messages. The sponsor’s name, logo, and theme statement can be imprinted onto the cards, putting the sponsor before the delegates many times a day.

Hotel Key Cards

Every delegate checking in to one of ASM’s official hotels receives a key card for their hotel room. From the delegate’s arrival, throughout the meeting, and up until their departure, the sponsor’s message is repeatedly broadcast. ASM provides the sponsor with contact information for the hotel(s) they select. The sponsor handles all details directly with the selected hotel(s) including the purchase, production, and distribution of the cards (hotels charge a fee of $1-3 per card).

ICAAC 5K Race
Fee: $18,000

The 5K race occurs the first morning of ICAAC and draws more than 125 delegates, guests, and exhibitors. Refreshments are provided after the race and award ceremony. Proceeds from the race are donated to a local charity in the name of ASM and the sponsor. The sponsor may suggest charities for consideration.

Interactive Symposia
Fee: $10,000 each/60,000 all

Up to six symposia are presented in interactive format, using an audience response system with keypads. These sessions are generally more clinical in nature, presenting one or more case studies.

Laptop Lounge (reserved by CAP Partner for ICAAC)

Two 400 sq. ft. laptop lounges in the exhibit hall provide internet connectivity and seating for up to 20 delegates. The lounges may be combined. The sponsor(s), at their expense, can provide branded mouse pads and/or writing pads and pens for the tables.

Micro Marathon

The polyester/canvas padfolios have an interior organizer, clear pocket for ID or calculator, pen loop and an 8 1/2" x 11" writing pad. Popular with delegates, the padfolios provide corporate and brand recognition during the meeting and throughout the year. Meeting delegates receive a padfolio with their registration materials.

The most popular of all meeting sponsorships are the official delegate portfolios which provide corporate and brand recognition during the meeting and throughout the year. Features of the water repellent polyester portfolios may be a zippered main compartment, zippered front pocket, and side phone and water bottle pockets. Meeting delegates receive a portfolio containing all their conference materials.

Posters 2 View (reserved by CAP Partner for ICAAC)

Posters 2 View allows posters to be viewed online in two ways: at and after the meeting. Delegates can visit Posters 2 View, search by author, title, and topic/key word to view specific posters. At the meeting, they can print their selections at one of three Posters 2 View pods. Each pod will have three computers and an 11” x 17” color printer. After the meeting, posters will be available online for 12 months.

President’s Forum (reserved for General Meeting)

The program planner is available on the General Meeting and ICAAC web pages one month before and after the meetings and during the meeting at E-Central. Accessed by Expocard, abstracts can be selected and formulated into an electronic meeting schedule. After the meetings, the Program Planner can be used to compile and retain preferred abstracts.

Shuttle Bus Wraps

ICAAC’s fleet of 50-60 buses will transport 9,000 delegates daily on five Chicago routes. There is a five-bus minimum spread throughout the transportation system. Additional charges may apply for multiple images.

2007 ASM Conference Sponsorships

ASM Conferences provide a forum for discussion and dissemination of specialized scientific information in an environment designed to encourage interaction amongst participants. The Conferences identify emerging or underrepresented topics of broad scientific significance, facilitate interactive exchange in meetings of 100 to 700 people, and foster interdisciplinary and international exchange and collaboration with other scientific organizations. The following sponsorships are available for most conferences and can be customized. Sponsorship fees vary based on each conference.

Platinum Patron
Sponsor Acknowledgement & Benefits: signage in prominent facility locations, inclusion in meeting programs and welcome address, tabletop display space upon request, one-page flyer distributed with delegate materials, final registration mailing list, and two complimentary registrations.

Options are available to Platinum Patrons
