ICAAC Attendee Registration Procedures
Note: You must be a dues paying 2010 ASM Member in order to qualify for ASM Member rates. You can renew your membership at http://estore.asm.org.
You may register in one of four ways:
- Internet

Hotel Reservations & Shuttle Bus Information
Hotel reservations are still being accepted! ICAAC Hotel Rates & Amenities
New Hotel Reservations Upon completing your on-line General Meeting registration you will be directed to a website where you can secure new hotel reservations.
To book new hotel reservations via telephone, call 1-888-330-9969; International 858-300-9477.
The Boston Reservation Center Hours are (Pacific Standard Time):
Monday - Friday: 6:00 am - 11:00 pm Saturday: 7:00 am - 10:00 pm Sunday: 8:00 am - 9:00 pm
Hotel Reservation Changes, Additions, or Cancellations Beginning August 30 you should contact your hotel directly for any changes or cancellations. Failure to cancel your hotel reservation with the hotel 72 hours prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of the $250 USD room deposit.
Hotel Map & Shuttle Bus Details
The following hotels are not included in the ICAAC shuttle service to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center:

- Doubletree Club Hotel Boston Bayside
- The Doubletree Club Hotel Boston Bayside has agreed to provide complimentary shuttle service to their guests attending ICAAC.
Cancellation Policies
Registration
- Before or on June 29, 2010: Full refund minus a $25 processing fee
- June 30 – August 13, 2010: Fifty percent (50%) of registration fee
- After August 13, 2010: No refunds will be processed
Cancellations must be in writing and received by e-mail or fax at Experient. You may keep any meeting material you receive before or after you submit your cancellation letter.
Hotel
- Before or on August 26, 2010 until 5:30 p.m. CT: Contact Experient
- On or after September 1, 2010: Contact the hotel directly
Please note:
- Additions are based on availability.
- After August 20th refunds for hotel cancellations may take 30 – 90 days after the meeting.
- From August 2 at 5:31 p.m. CT - August 31, 2010 no changes, additions or cancellations may be made.
- Beginning September 1, 2010 failure to cancel your reservation directly with the hotel at least 72 hours prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of the $250 USD room deposit.
Workshop
- Before or on July 29, 2010: Full refund minus a $25 USD processing fee
- Afterly29, 2010: No refunds will be processed

Other Important Registration Information
Criteria for Member Rates Your ASM member number must be included in section one (1) for registrants to be eligible for member rates. ASM reserves the right to charge the higher non-member rate without notification if a member number is not included or cannot be verified. For membership information, please contact the Membership Department at (202) 942-9319 or visit the membership section of the ASM web site at www.asm.org.
Criteria for Postdoctoral Fellows and Residents To be eligible for the reduced fee, you must be employed by an institution as a postdoctoral fellow who is within two years of graduation or a medical resident who is within six years of receipt of the M.D. degree. (Exceptions can be made for postdoctoral fellows who continue in an AAM/CPEP program. Please contact the ASM Meetings Department for details). Proof of status is by letter from the head of the program on official university letterhead.
Criteria for Student Rate Any undergraduate or pre-doctoral student requesting the student rate must provide either a legible photocopy of a current University ID or a letter on university letterhead from the department chair, indicating your status and anticipated graduation date.
Italian Agents The American Society for Microbiology has appointed Pandani Viaggi S.R.L, Milan, to collect, on our behalf, all applications from Italian pharmaceutical companies and to file them with the appropriate Italian Health Ministry officials.

Final Program and Abstracts CD The Final Program and Abstracts CD will be provided to all registered attendees onsite. For attendees interested in receiving the Final Program prior to the meeting, order information is available on the registration form. Note: Abstracts CD will not available in advance. A pre-paid mailing fee will be required. All materials will be shipped approximately two weeks prior to the meeting.
Optional Fees for the Final Program and Guest Registration are non-refundable.
